Panty liners are similar to pads; they’re thinner and much smaller, designed for days when you don’t need much absorbency.

Using Panty liners in-between periods

Even when you’re not menstruating, you may have days when you feel less than fresh. Panty liners are a great way to feel fresh between periods. A slight vaginal discharge in between periods is common and can be really annoying. If your undies are often damp or stained in-between periods, liners may be the answer for you. Panty liners can be good for making sure that discharge doesn’t get on your favourite undies.

Panty liners can also be useful if you experience spotting. Spotting occurs when a small amount of blood passes through the vagina between periods. Spotting can be quite normal and may occur in the couple of days after your period, or in the middle of your cycle. If you are worried or if it’s a reoccurring problem, see your doctor.

If you’re playing sport and you know you’re going to work up a sweat, liners may be a good option. The liners can absorb the sweat and you won’t have to put up with wetness in your undies. After you’ve finished playing sport, you can change your liner for a fresh one, or go without for the rest of the day. It’s up to you!
